What this workflow does

This workflow has 7 nodes and runs on a schedule (cron 0 0 * * 1-5). Along the way it connects Gmail.

How it runs

Trigger: On a schedule (cron 0 0 * * 1-5).

  1. Get all emails in the last day (Gmail): work with thread
  2. Get the thread of each email (Gmail): get (thread)
  3. Keep only starred emails in inbox (Filter): keeps only the items that match a condition
  4. Archive thread (remove from inbox) (Gmail): remove labels (thread)
  5. for each message in the thread (Item Lists): reshapes item lists (legacy Item Lists node)
  6. Archive message (remove from inbox) (Gmail): remove labels

Before you upgrade to n8n 3.0

1 thing in this workflow is removed in n8n 3.0. Fix it before you upgrade:

  • Item Lists (legacy) in for each message in the thread: replace with Split Out, Aggregate, Sort, Limit, Remove Duplicates or Summarize (match the operation used).

Rather not rewrite it? Many of these flows can be rebuilt in Make (free plan).
